Job description

As a Logistics Student within Supply Chain Engineering, you will support the optimization of logistics and supply chain processes through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience working with real operational data, ERP systems, and international logistics flows.
This role is designed to provide practical exposure to supply chain decision-making, purchasing processes, and logistics optimization in a dynamic and international environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of logistics data from ERP and other systems to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist in identifying bottlenecks and proposing practical solutions for supply chain optimization
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement projects related to inbound and outbound logistics flows

Your profile

We are looking for an intern that is:

  • Currently studying (Bachelor or Master) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Has a strong analytical mindset and interest in data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency in Excel; PowerPoint knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or data tools is an advantage
  • Proactive, independent, and eager to learn
  • Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)

Department

The Non-Product Related Purchasing (NPRP) department consists of 14 employees and is responsible for sourcing all goods and services that are not directly incorporated into the final product. The department covers a broad range of purchasing categories, including Logistics & Supply Chain Engineering, Marketing & Sales, IT, HR, Facility Services, Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO), and Capital Investments.
This position is part of the Purchasing Unit Capital Investments, MRO, and Logistics. This team consists of 7 employees and focuses on the strategic management of these key purchasing categories.
